Stunning place with a history behind . Very well looked at . Swimming place a bit futher down so no noise . We have had private area outside for our breakfasts and dinners. Also a place for bbq were we have made amazing dish. All what you needed to make a fire for bbq was there. Attention to details made this space very special. All we needed for our holiday was at the house. Staff was excellent - Gabriele and Sophia - always with smile and ready to help us - big applause for such a customer service .

Lovely spacious rooms, beautiful quiet location, nice pool, very friendly and welcoming host (speaks English very well and is easy to reach on whatsapp before and during the stay) Close to grocery store (about a 5 min drive)

We had a little problem with insects in the room we booked (due to the season and the fact that the house was located in nature) but this got dealt with immediately and we got offered a different room. There were a lot of spider webs in both rooms we stayed in but the kitchen/bathroom/sheets etc were very clean.

This was such a beautiful property. The place had everything you needed and was perfect. If you are looking for an ‘Italian Villa’ getaway, this place is for you. Gabriele, the host, was so welcoming and helpful. He provided recommendations in the area, helped us book things, and was just so lovely and friendly. The pictures don’t do the accommodation and property justice. We loved our stay, would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend. The place was a great location to explore Umbria and Tuscany!

Nothing - it was perfect!

Very friendly host. Thank you Gabriele for all the attention provided, with regular check-ins on whether I needed anything. The house was very clean with a very comfortable large bed, very well equipped with everything in great working order and very nicely decorated too. I would go back there again for sure and could recommend it to anyone.

The only thing that could have been a bit better was the size of the shower box, (it was a bit small and accidentally banged on the tap a few times when turning) but all in all everything still very good.

The swimming pool wasn’t heated.

Heavenly place with all the peace and quiet you could wish for, within a 10-15 min drive there’s an outdoor swimming pool where you can expect crowds of mainly locals, if you like some time off from all the serenity Borgo il Poeta has to offer. Excellent service and as much as you desire…. The villa’s are equipped with all the luxery you require and else Gabriele will provide 😁. Close to Borgo are some spectacular sites to visit, Assisi being one of them. Florence is about 2 hrs away and Rome 3 hrs by car. The only hard thing in Italy is getting used to the driving style but once you get the hang of that you’re good to travel anywhere. All and all we ‘d love to visit this place again and for more than just one week!!!
