Well situated excellent view, breakfast available outside room well stocked and as described very convenient easy to park in side street

Parking permit payable at property, though cheap considering prices of ticket machines, easy to use and lots of parking available in side streets

Rooms were light and airy. Clean and comfortable

Windows need cleaning. Remove ladders from hallway. It's obvious a lot of money has recently being spent on upgrades which was good but as a tradesman I noticed detail which maybe others wouldnt

Location was perfect for our trip, going to the pavilion for a music gig literally 5 minute walk

Location was perfect for where we wanted to be, five minutes across the road from The Whitby Pavilion. The room was warm and modern and the breakfast provided was exactly what was stated. Other guests were quiet even though their rooms were close. Check in was easy, I got all details emailed beforehand. I'd highly recommend Sandbeck

Location was great short walk into whitby The Accommodation was perfect very clean and everything in the room that you need and ours had a sea view It was a continental breakfast outside our room there was a small fridge with milk yogurts etc and on a table was cereals etc which you help yourself to which works very well We both enjoyed our stay very much and when we come back to whitby will definitely come back to stay at the sandbeck

Great location in a very quiet area with everything you could want (bus and train station, harbour, shops, restaurants and the Abbey) within easy walking distance (but it’s pretty hilly!). My room was called ‘Kildale’, a lovely corner room on the 3rd floor (there is a lift) with a view of the harbour entrance. Room was modern, well-appointed and clean, and the bed is very comfortable. Some biscuits and tea bags in the room was a nice touch as many places only seem to provide coffee these days. Wi-Fi was solid and reliable. Breakfast comprises a choice of cereals, yogurt and fruit juice, available from a stand in the hall, and is eaten in the room. Bathroom was light and clean and it’s great to see places being water-conscious and energy-efficient.

For those not from Britain, you turn the heating for the shower on from a switch on the wall just inside the bedroom! Hot water pressure is adequate without being great. The lights in the bathroom seem to be on a sensor, so either don’t take too long with your shower or wave your arms around to reactivate them when they go off. UK hotels are expensive, and this is no different. It’s good but, relative to similar places in Europe and Australia, pricey for what it is and what it offers.

The location was perfect, and the views were absolutely stunning! One window you could see clearly out to see, and the other had a perfect view of the Abbey and St Mary's church.
