Bathrooom a bit cramped

The good stuff??? Relatively short hop from the venues in the centre of Stockton. Very clean and well appointed - if rather cheap - furnishings, etc. The double bed was more comfortable than mine at home. I slept like a baby!

Where do I start? The entry system on the front door appeared to be broken. My colleague tried it. I tried it. It didn't appear to work to the code given As a result, I either slept with the front door open or locked out other residents by putting the latch down when I got in from a gig. I opted for the latter and was woken twice by angry fellow residents attempting to gain access via a locked front door (thus proving the key box door entry did not work.) There were no soap or towels in the bedroom only a bath mat - so I had to use the bathmat and mini body wash/shower gel to wash my hands. While there was full access to the kitchen on the ground floor, there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room, which I would have preferred. There was no live TV just online, leaving me feeling a bit isolated and disorientated as a lone traveller as I like to keep up with the news. It was also a bit of a faff having to log on to the wi-fi just to get any TV at all. I had to contact the host three times to obtain the relevant door entry and wi-fi pass codes even though I arrived at the earlier end of the hour-long window advised. I would have expected the host to greet me and talk me through housekeeping, as my host had at a similarly unstaffed overnight stay the previous week.

It was lovely and clean and very comfy

The owner was supportive and helpful, even at midnight and relocated us to a different property.

I had booked this for 3 of us. We arrived around 11:30pm and the front house door was unlocked. We go into our room and it looked like someone had just left - the bed was messy, the tv was on and the remote was on the floor and the bathroom had used towels. I called the owner immediately who was really nice and was unsure how this happened. He relocated us to one of his other properties with 2 bedrooms but one of the room's radiators didn't work so it was extremely cold at night.

Mattress was reasonably comfortable. It looked like effort had been made to clean (carpet looked hoovered, bathroom clean, sheets looked ironed etc)

The room stunk of smoke The walls were paper thin and the people staying in the next room were noisy (though you could hear them speaking at even normal volume as the walls were so thin) , the doors kept slamming shut late into the night (2am onwards) The shower didn't get hot water The room was cold and the only working heater made a buzzing noise so I had to turn it off, woke up cold, and couldn't even have a hot shower in the morning. I know it was cheap but I'd expect hot water and for the room not to smell of smoke, at the very least.

It was a double bed but that’s it. The duvet was dirty

Very clean and I must say the bed was incredibly comfortable once booked the owner texted details on entry super fast nice quite road 👍

The only thing I can fault was no kettle in the room for coffee in the morning and the shower was hot but very very weak
