Secret House Boutique Hoi An

The house is very beautiful and very quiet, run by a couple who take care of their place with a magnificent view of the rice fields and a very beautiful swimming pool.

A wonderful peaceful place to stay, highly recommended.

Amazing place, good hosts, food and relax

Beautiful location right by the rice fields and super quiet. Easy walk or cycle into town. Room was clean, breakfast was tasty and whole hotel gave a lovely boutique vibe. All the staff were super friendly.

I think it’s just because it was so humid outside but our room felt a tiny bit damp at times.

I've stayed in 4 different accommodations on this trip to Vietnam and this has got to be my favourite place ever. It feels like a home away from home, cosy, comfy and designed with such fine taste. The entire hotel is very artistic, with paintings hung at every corner that often brightens the space. The staff are also super lovely and kind, the morning goes great whenever I see their smiles! Room was on the third floor and they have no elevator, but they would kindly help to carry my luggage up with me and I appreciate that! The rooms were spacious, clean and light filled. Little details like the big mirror by the door makes it perfect to put on make up with bright natural lighting shinning in. The bed was comfy, and water pressure in the bathroom is strong and nice. The pool is also enjoyable for a dip in the day (: I particularly enjoyed their latte, and sitting by the fields to space out. I'll be sure to return again! For 3 days, I hardly ventured anywhere. I head to yoga which is just 2 mins walk away, or cycle in the fields to explore a cafe nearby, or just sit at the outdoor garden chilling. This place is the best for living and experiencing slow life in Hoi An (:

A classy, chic and modern venue. However, I have a big distaste after my stay was shortened by one night! It wasn't even done in person just through booking - I was sent a cancellation of my stay for another night. If I had had notifications turned off I wouldn't even have known I had nowhere to sleep the next night.... That's not how it's done, it's very inelegant! I had the impression that they wanted to get rid of me because a group of friends had arrived and had run out of room. I have never encountered such a situation before and I am very sorry about it. I am very disgusted. Unfortunately I have to give three stars although the place is charming and in a beautiful location.

The hotel is so beautiful inside and it's located out of town, so you have a great view of the fields and it's really quiet and peaceful. I walked into town and back every day, but if you're less able to do that you'd probably need a bike or Grab. The staff were kind and helpful, especially the man on reception who got up out of bed to unlock the gate for me when I was going on a very early day trip. There are lots of facilities, including nice toiletries and much-needed air conditioning and ceiling fan. It was a lovely respite from busy places.

I was asked to move rooms at one stage, via WhatsApp, but then when I went down to ask about it, I was told I didn't need to after all. I understand there is a need to accommodate guests but it is helpful to know in advance if you might need to move rooms at some point. I'm not sure if it was because I was on my own.

Gorgeous retreat from the hustle and bustle of Hoi An, set overlooking the rice fields. Beautifully presented inside and out it feels more as though you are coming home than a hotel stay. Breakfast had good local options and some western and was generous in portion sizes. Free bikes available at the property meaning you can get to the beach in ten minutes or explore the rice fields and local cafes nearby although the coffee on site is delicious. Also only five minutes away from Hoi An centre by grab taxi or bike.

We enjoyed the location as it was set away from the main town but this could be an issue for some as it means getting a grab each time. We also came back around 10pm one night to find everything locked up. The security guard was so lovely and let us in and showed us where the bell was for the future but it would have been nice to know in advance. As we stayed for five nights it would also have been nice for a room cleaning to be offered as we had to ask for our toilet bin to be emptied and another toilet roll provided on a few occasions. Minor issues but just where improvements could be made.
