Tropical Indian Rocks Beach Suite A

The location was amazing. But very disappointed with the overall appearance of the property. Dirty , run down and well worn.

The property needs to be up graded. A lot of the furniture was marked , scuffed , broken or dirty

Great location! Able to walk to the beach in two minutes. Cute little snack/sandwich shack one block away

Towels were stained, shower water pressure low

It needs renovating. Everything is outdated. Superficially it seems clean, but with a closer look it is far from it. Specifically the kitchen and kitchen items. Door to patio doesnt work.

There were many Australian cockroaches in which the host tried to call them palmetto bugs. Fortunately I have a relative who runs a terminate business and I have pictures and videos of the very large bugs. They were crawling in our suitcases and on us while we attempted to sleep. It was a horrible experience and I tried contacting the property manager the first day and he finally reached back out to me 9 days after my stay to state there is nothing he is willing to do. After spending 3k in flights to show up to a place with roaches is not a way to have a vacation i spent a year saving for. So it was a disappointment that Carter vacations were very unresponsive and not helpful or willing to do anything. So not stay at their properties if this is how they handle business. The deck was all but ready to fall over and seemed very unsafe amongst other things. I am unsure that the one bed was even a bed it was squeaky and the most i comfortable thing I’ve ever laid on. I plan to keep fighting my claim and for other people who use Carter vacations don’t do it they do not care once they get their money.

Three minute walk to beach. Two bedrooms was helpful.

Apartment below ours stuffed hurricane damage and musty odor seeped out of it. A few inexpensive upgrades, like newer dishes and silverware would be appreciated. The deck needs a good power wash. Attention to cosmetic fixes would make the place more appealing. TV in bedroom broken.

It was a nice property nothing fancy but worked for what we needed.

Easy access, nicely decorated and comfortable.

Unable to use any TV.s using instructions provided. TV in living room would not work with remotes and instructions provided, bedroom tv was able to work manually turning on and off the weather channel only(no remote operation), 2nd bedroom smart tv manually on with unresponsive remote so no accessible viewing.. Smoke detector was off the wall and laying on the tv stand - i suspected the prior guest may have been looking to change batteries for remotes on tv. When bed was turned down another guests pajamas were laying under the pillow/bed sheets which indicated to me that the bed had not been stripped down and cleaned. The other thing I was disappointed about, but wouldn’t have even made mention of if not for the above issues….Is that the property was advertised close within steps access to beach. The actual distance from the property was 2 blocks away across the main highway - it was not a great choice for guests with kids to have walk 2 blocks along the road (no sidewalks) and across the highway. It should be more clearly stated. I did send a message about the TV problem shortly after arriving at the property but no one responded. I liked the place and wanted to give an excellent review but can’t. This was my first booking.com and i will probably just go back to VRBO and Airbnb.
