Iloilo Affordable Transient - near Iloilo Airport

Booked Sir Daryll's accomodation for 9 nights (we actually paid for 10, but we arrived at almost midnight of the first night hehe). Even before arriving in Iloilo, Sir Daryll was already in touch with me and was kind enough to answer my questions, in a very timely manner. The reviews and location were great, and the price was one of the cheaper ones I found - all these factors encouraged us to book the place. It was such a lovely stay! The place was well maintained and so it was clean. There were also a lot of amenities available - like the kinds you would expect at a budget hotel (Smart TV, aircon, shower with temp regulator, water kettle) and even more which you don't typically find in budget hotels (a large two-door fridge, microwave, rice cooker, induction cooker, various cooking ware and utensils). There were also complimentary teas, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, tissues, and dishwasher liquid (tho we didn't really use the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash as we brought our own hehe). All of these, made our stay really comfortable and the pictures really don't lie. The location of the place was also very convenient! It was only a few minutes from the airport (via car), and we discovered that a lot of different routes of jeeps/buses pass through directly in front of the subdivision the place is in. We weren't able to commute much because the summer heat was a bit much for us; so we ended up almost always booking Grab. Booking Grab was surprisingly easy and quick! Like, in all of our Grab bookings, a car has already confirmed and is less than 10 minutes away. We will definitely be booking Sir Daryll's place again in the future. So worth the money in all aspects! Highly recommended! P. S. The pics I included are ones taken right before we left.

There's a few minor suggestions I preferred to personally let Sir Daryll know as they are, again, minor things that can easily be remedied. At the time of writing this review, they probably have already been solved.

Pro dva byla postel relativně malá, stejně tak ložnice i pokoj. Dle fotek působí byt o dost větší. Na čistotě by se dalo také trochu zapracovat.

It was not far from the airport and that was what I was looking for. The owner was really quick answering my questions, and gave me all the important pieces of information in time. He was really a really nice guy :) Really nice stay, I recommend

The little details - the things provided such as the quality body wash and shampoo, the amenities available such as the rice cooker, heater, and extension cord, as well as the smart TV and soft sheets. Definitely worth the price 👌🏾 There were also nearby tiangges and water refilling station where you can buy your needs.

The aircon took a bit of time to cool but we aren’t the type who is looking for a really cold room so it was tolerable. We also missed the 112 house number and ended up in a different place, but the owner was one call away and she guided us until we reached her place. I’d like to suggest lastly to have a common sink for washing dishes. I’m afraid the bathroom sink will clog up if guests will continue to wash their dishes there.

This small, modern apartment had just about everything we could have hoped for, especially at such a bargain price! Plus it was very close to the airport. The apartment owner provided great instructions, including photos, to help our taxi driver to successfully drive us to our accom, without problem. The owner was easily accessible, by messages, via the app. He was very easy to communicate with. If you have any problems at all, he will do all he can to work things out with you. Trikes are always available, and that's what we used, at a hugely affordable price, to take us and our luggage to the airport. If ever we should need accommodation near Iloilo airport, we would happily return to this lovely apartment 😊

If seeking restaurants, cafes or local shops, walking is not an option, as everything is too far away. Trikes are affordable, and regularly pass by, or you can book taxis by apps. We had heard that there was a convenience shop across the road that would be open until 8pm, but when we arrived that night, in the dark, before 6:30pm, it was not visible to us. We discovered the following morning that there was a tiny convenience store, a few metres in front of the apartment. We went to purchase milk at 8am, but the store was not yet open. It did appear to be open later that morning, but by then, we were packed and ready to head to the airport. We chatted with the shop owner, just as we were leaving to catch our plane and she explained that her home business didn't have set opening + closing hours, as she sometimes was busy with errands to be open to customers.

It is really clean and it is distant from the main highway where vehicles' noise could affect or ruin a good night's sleep. We brought uncooked "baon" and the completeness of the things needed to cook in the kitchen was really a plus factor. I'd like to stay there again. Thank you Daryll, tho' you are not around, yet you've proficiently managed a nice place to stay.
