It was home from home for us we finished work & came to York for the weekend the apartment is immaculate. The location is perfect Nice added bag of goodies that was totally unexpected from the owner

When we arrived on our first day, the apartment smelled musty and there was no ventilation in the apartment. all of the windows are painted shut . The fresh air system was not functioning. I started getting an allergic reaction almost straight away (I’m allergic to mould) and had to take antihistamines. in the morning we woke at 5am with high humidity and condensation running down the inside of the windows in the apartment and that’s when I noticed what I would identify as being black mould around the inside of the windows. On our arrival day and the following morning I phoned the property management multiple times to let them know what was going on and also sent multiple emails with photographs of the mould documenting the experience. On the second day the management said they would get a technician to attend during the day. In the meantime time they gave me the go ahead to  do a full reset on the controller box using a pin. After a while the air system in flow began  working again so there was some air coming in. While we were speaking on the phone I said that I was unhappy and would be expecting a 50% refund on our two night stay to cover the first nights experience. A technician attended later in the day and completed a full service of the air unit. When we left the following morning they had the apartment cleaned, which I would hope included removing visible signs of mould. I tried for a while to reason with the managing agent about a refund, but they repeatedly insisted that the air had been working the whole time and that even though they accepted in writing that the photos of mould were taken in the apartment, because the mould was no longer present when they went to inspect the apartment some days after we left, and after cleaners had been in, they were unable to verify its existence. They even suggested that the photos of condensation on the inside of the windows look like they are in the bathroom, when there are no windows in either bathroom.

Lovely apartment very close to city centre and a lovely park. Parking was really useful and we had no issues with this. The apartment felt very clean and spacious and had everything we needed for our short stay. Good blackout shutters throughout. Nice hamper when you arrive.

Check in is fairly late at 4pm and check out is fairly early at 10am (and we had someone knocking on the door asking to clean at 9:50am on the day we left). One of the showers floods every time it is used. Can't open the windows to get fresh air.

Very impressed with the location, size, style and cleanliness. Welcome goodies were a lovely touch. Having off-street parking was a great bonus and gave a great element of freedom and took away any stress that might have created. Very comfortable and homely. Will certainly be back!

No real negatives - nit-picking! We couldn't find the cutlery drawer as it was hidden in a drawer - query on email resolved very quickly though and we were impressed with the speedy response. Perhaps for others leave the drawer slightly ajar with the cutlery tray visible? Also - lack of views - not a huge problem as we were out and about and street noise was minimal other than a couple of groups of people who stopped outside the living room window for a brief chat. Now I know you have the other higher flats then might book them in future if a more York-based visit (we were going all over the place so only really there for breakfast and end of day). These are not huge issues though, just observations.

Very spacious room for the 3 of us (it's spacious for a family of 4) which exceeded our expectations. Location and parking are both excellent, very easy onsite parking and easy walking distance to everywhere with our 6 year old son during our stay: the National Railways Museum, the Vikings centre, the Shambles, the Christmas market, and eating out. The hamper was a very lovely bonus for our Christmas break. Thank you!
