"A great stay in a fabulous location."

Breakfast on the whole was very good except for scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on the first morning which was not good and I understand cooked by stand in chef. The location and general atmosphere of the Buddle Inn could not be better!

Access to the rooms was outdoor via steep stone steps and a gravel path with the handrail incomplete. This must be very unpleasant and even dangerous if wet.

"Good accommodation, lovely old building, friendly staff., but food could be improved."

The staff were very friendly and the room was really comfortable. The pub has a nice atmosphere and was in a great location.

Sadly the evening meal was only just acceptable and whilst the cooked breakfast was perfectly ok there were no extras such as cereals, toast, yoghurt or fruit.
