Villa Sayang Sanur IX

we had a villa with private pool 2 storey and so much space. all very modern and beautifully decorated. 2 bedrooms with ensuites upstairs and 1 bedroom with ensuite downstairs, washing machine and large indoor/outdoor kitchen/dining/living area. good size pool with a green plant wall at the back. well fitted out . appreciated the filtered water on tap. Ayu in reception was particularly helpful and caring when we needed assistance.

breakfast - the variety of choices was good . we chose american breakfasts and the fresh juice, fresh fruits, souffle pancakes were all very fresh and tasty. However the eggs were not cooked enough and the bacon was inedible. No gluten free options other than eggs. luckily there are many coffee shops and bakeries in the vicinity. Praise to the breakfast staff who cheerfully delivered our breakfast to our villa on 2 morning rather than dine in the breakfast area. Fan in the living area is not that effective as its too small - a larger size fan would be a great improvement

The resort was situated down a long lane way which felt secluded from the busy street but was close to everything we needed - shops, restaurants and the beach. The villa is at the rear of the property offering more seclusion. The open air living area that embraced the pool was very comfortable and the air conditioned bedrooms with ensuite were a haven from the humidity.

We had to sign a piece of paper on arrival confirming every piece of item in the villa and was given a price list incase anything went missing we had to pay for it. They have to check the villa when you check out to ensure that all the towels cutlery etc haven’t been removed from the villa. Only 1 key for the villa. We were a family of 5 adults doing our own thing so villa had to be left unlocked due to only having 1 set of keys. Electricity went out for 5 hours one day and there was no back up generator to supply electricity to the villas. Internal stairs are very unsafe with sharp edges snd done steps were higher than others

I liked the villa and the staff.

Booking in i was told to sign a list of every item in the villa along with a price list. The towels & sheets had stains & were thread bare. Then a list of rules stating you are forbidden to get drunk. Not very welcoming upon arrival. Considering the price we paid for a 3 bedroom villa we were treated like criminals. They also turned up to do room service before 8.30am when we had children still in bed. This happened multiple times upon our request not to come early. We requested a second key but was refused. Beautiful villa but managment need to lift their game.

Great place for a family and an added bonus you had your own private pool.

Not the cleanest, lots of mosquitoes.
