Ubud Gata Guest House

It’s really clean. Staff is very friendly. Location is close to the city center and also to the Monkey Forest.

There is a bar in front of this building and the music is really loud usually till midnight. Also there is no breakfast for this price or fridge in the room. I think for this price better accommodation can be found, I just booked it in very last minute.

L'emplacement est idéal, en plein centre d'Ubud, c'est super lorsque l'on veut visiter. De plus, un mini mart est juste à coté, permettant de se réapprovisionner en eau, snacks, etc. Le personnel est absolument adorable et au petit soin, tout en restant discret. Le petit jardin devant la chambre est très bien entretenu et relaxant. La climatisation fonctionne très bien et la température est parfaite. La propreté de la chambre était top je n'ai rien à redire, tout semble neuf et bien entretenu. Enfin, j'ai été très agréablement surprise du confort de la literie, pour le prix je n'ai jamais eu autant de confort dans Ubud, j'y retournerai sans aucune hésitation !

Juste en face il y le "LOL Bar" qui fait des concerts jusqu'à tard le soir (23h-minuit), dans le chambre, c'est comme si on y était. Ce qui est non négligeable pour ceux qui souhaitent se coucher tôt, ou alors prévoir des boules quies ! Le savon n'avait pas été changé mais c'est un détail.

위치가 우붓 메인이라 어디든 이동하기 편했습니다. 오픈한지 얼마 안되어서인지 시설도 깨끗하고 침대 매트리스가 상당히 만족스러웠습니다. 젊은 부부가 관리하는 것 같았는데 항상 미소띤 얼굴로 친절하게 응대했습니다.

숙소 근처에 펍이 있어서 늦은 시간까지 음악소리가 들리는 점, 방에 냉장고가 없어서 리셉션에 맡겨야 하는 점도 불편했습니다.

I was in one of the upstairs rooms. The room was very clean. The mattress was super comfortable and the linen and pillows were in good condition and clean. The aircon worked well. WIFI was decent. The little balcony was cute. The two employees who work there are very friendly and have a fun and cute vibe. The location is great, right near lots of places to eat and shops. My room looked like the photos. The bathroom is a wet room, water does go everywhere when showering but there is a powerful exhaust fan that absorbs most of the water after approx 30 mins.

I read in reviews before booking that noise from the bar across the road can be loud but I honestly was not expecting it to be as intense as it was. I stayed on a Friday and Saturday so that may be why it was a lot more than I expected. The loud music and karaoke started at approx 9pm and didn't end until 1:30am both nights, then lower but audible music was still playing until 3am. The base from the karaoke and music was so loud that it literally felt like the speakers were on the balcony of the apartment. If you are up for partying and getting amongst it then this place may be for you, if you need to get an early night, you may want to consider another option.

There is NO fridge inside any room. This is definitely not OK. Bathroom doesn’t have window, do they placed a cleaning system that makes a lot of noise. Other than that, rooms were perfectly Ok.

There is no fridge in any room, which is not OK. Especially in this hot weather. Also, there is no window in the bathroom, so the air cleansing system makes too much noise.

I had the most wonderful stay at Gata Guest House! The beds and pillows are hands down the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced while traveling—like sleeping on a cloud. Everything was spotless, and they offer daily housekeeping—just let them know before you head out for the day. The staff are truly the kindest and most thoughtful people. On my birthday, they surprised me with a beautifully decorated room and even brought me a cake! It was such a sweet and personal touch that made my day extra special. The location is also perfect. It’s right on a lively street full of cafes, restaurants, and bars, yet it’s peaceful at night. You’re within walking distance of all the highlights in Ubud—markets, temples, and even the Monkey Forest, without being too close (so no surprise monkey visits!). A quick tip: if you’re arriving late, be sure to message them on WhatsApp in advance so they can leave your key ready. They also offer airport pickup with a friendly driver, which made arrival smooth and stress-free. I honestly couldn’t recommend Gata Guest House enough—exceptional service, unbeatable location, and warm-hearted people. I’ll definitely be back!
