Charming Cozy Retreat - Terrace & Private Balcony

This place se far was the best one I’ve ever stayed. Free parking. Welcome wine. Lots of options for breakfast. Fridge filled with all the essentials for a good breakfast. Very clean. Hostess was super friendly and accommodating.

The only downside is that its not close to the centre. You have to drive to restaurants etc. Maybe needs more areas in the room to put your stuff. A mirror or dressing table in the room would be nice rather than the bookshelf. But generally a very well appointed room

This property deserves a fantastic full 10/10 if you see it as what it is: a guest room inside the home of a person. This means that it will not have what you expect from a hotel, therefore offering the following inconveniences: Its a room of a home conditioned, not really a guesthouse. You enter through the main entrance to a corridor with a tiny restroom with no windows. The restroom is the restroom of a home. Not minimalistic, it’s kind of cluttered, with anti-slip frogs inside the shower. I personally dislike that as it makes it seem dirty (when it’s actually very clean). The owner is super nice and offers to use another entrance, but the entrance to the home is the entrance to the corridor that connects your room to the restroom. The decoration is of a home: Which means that it has a lot of hairy rugs and too much decoration, making it seem dirty when in reality has been cleaned very much and properly. I insist on this. The place is indeed very clean. But I myself enjoy minimalistic rooms because I consider dirty any hairy rugs and too much decoration. Booking is misleading, it says it has two single beds. In reality it’s a sofa-bed that splits in two single beds. Very comfortable but the linens aren’t white and again, too homey in my opinion, making it seem dirty when in reality is clean. It does have a balcony but it’s tiny and the view is hidden between buildings, so not breathtaking or sth I could really enjoy. It doesn’t have a kitchen. It’s a kitchenette without a sink, and it’s too cluttered: In the same side table as the microwave, you can find the tv, a little fridge and the coffee maker (The coffee in the room is drip coffee, not espresso although the owner is so nice she offers to make you a espresso. This place is very nice and 100% recommended, I give it a 10/10 rating, only if you know you are getting a room inside a home and that’s what you like.

The hospitality, the place, the best takeaway sushi ever-ever. It's close to Coimbra - so worth staying there and just drive to Coimbra for 10 mins

Loved our stay thanks Ana, beautifully presented room and the extra little touches made it special - the welcome drink with crackers and jam, the fruit bowl and to top it off the exquisitely presented breakfast basket. A balcony to eat meals on. Beds were comfortable. Everything was perfect. Would return if I'm back in Portugal.
