Bourton on the Water Country Chic Authentic Cottage

Lovely, cosy cottage. Very clean and stocked well with amenities. In a great location, with very short walk to high street.

Great location very accessible to Bourton on foot. Although the property itself didn’t have parking the hosts were able to support with a safe parking spot within a stones throw to the property at a token cost. Great communication from the hosts and they were on hand and more than willing to help with any queries. The property had been decorated for Christmas which was a lovely touch. Lots of essentials provided for your convenience. If you are looking for a quiet location that is also accessible to the local surroundings it’s perfect. Overall it was great value for money and we would definitely go there again

Wouldn't change a thing - it was just what we were looking for to escape the busy Christmas period for a couple of days.

The house's location was brilliant. The cottage is lovely. The kitchen is brilliantly equipped. The bathroom is lovely. The Christmas tree and lights were such a lovely touch. Beds are comfortable.

The lounge area is poorly furnished. The sofa is too small and uncomfortable and the 2 seats are poor quality. Investment should be made in the lounge seating. There were 2 blackouts while we stayed. The first, National Grid told us was village wide and could have been from 530pm until 2330. Luckily it was only an hour. But we could not find any provision/emergency candles etc. It was at night and dark and could have done with something. According to a neighbour blackouts happen regularly. Another occurred in the morning so not as urgent as we weren't in pure darkness. But still. Unsure where the scandi-chic description comes from.

This is an absolutely beautiful cottage! So cosy and beautifully decorated for Christmas 🎄 We had a wonderful stay , the hosts were very helpful and friendly

Lovely characterful, charming property with modern facilities. The bath has been replaced with a lovely large shower, which is much better for us older age groups. Decorated for Christmas which adds to the cozy feeling. Location excellent for the centre of Bourton Hoist checked we were ok and responded to questions very promptly.

Sofa looks lovely but a little uncomfortable

It is the most beautiful cottage we’ve ever been in. The building was very old and very well maintained, heating was great. Everything was perfect. It’s very cosy and we felt like at home. The property was very close and attendant with us. Without any doubt we will be back.
