Bourton on the Water Country Chic Authentic Cottage

A charming, cosy and quaint cottage 2mins walk to the village with a secluded private garden…who could ask for more ? The host was incredibly responsive allowing us to check in early and checking in on us during our stay. The option to park at the neighbouring property for a fee was definitely needed as parking availability virtually non existant.

The upstairs bedroom does not have a door. I didn’t see this mentioned anywhere and while we managed this may not be suitable for some. Stairs are also very steep which is understandable in an old cottage but again good to mention as this property would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

The stone cottage was very cute and cozy.

We are a somewhat tall family so the stairs and doorways were a bit low for our comfort level.

We absolutely loved our stay at this adorable cottage! Firstly, the location is a minute walk from the Main Street in Bourton on the Water, but minus the crowds and noise. We were traveling during the warmer part of July and the house was perfectly comfortable (no air con). The hosts left us a lovely goody bag with some local treats, offered us an option to park our car (VERY helpful), checked in with us to make sure all was well. The decor is exactly like the photos. Side note, this is an updated traditional Cotswold house. There are shorter doorways, the floors aren’t totally level, but it adds to the charm. It is extremely clean and well maintained. The backyard is delightful and private with beautiful landscape. So many comfortable touches (Nespresso machine, washer/dryer).. nothing about this place feels like a “rental”. It’s perfect.

We had a fantastic time at Jasmine Cottage. The location was superb walking distance to everything. The beds were extremely comfortable, this cottage has everything you need.

Perfect location, amazing and very attentive, responsive hosts, cottage is just beautiful and super cozy, just the right atmosphere for a Cotswolds getaway and has everything you might need and more. We thoroughly enjoyed the record player and the records available to use. And big thumbs up for being so dog friendly. Thank you very much!

It was amazing, the only thing I would like to point out is that the upstairs bedroom is not secluded by a door but straight up the stairs so some noises from the stairs and others (if staying several people) can be heard, but it somehow even added to the charm of the cottage so was not a big issue to us. Overall the place and location is super peaceful.

The property was tastefully decorated and was very clean and comfortable. It is located within very easy 2 minute walk into the beautiful village. The neighbours were all very chatty and pleasant.

There was nothing we didnt like.xx
