Poggio Angelarosa: Lemon Garden Stay&Relax

Everything was great! Loved that I get to exp living inside a lemon garden! Beautiful and clean rooms and the stuff was super polite and helpful!

The apartment was really spacious, had a nice private garden with outdoor shower and a balcony overlooking Amalfi. The staff was very proactive, responsive, and very kind. Pontone is a lovely traditional village away from the fuzz of the coast. The stairs to go up and down from Amalfi are really fine if you are in good condition. Considering the comments, we were expecting way worse. Furthermore, if you like hiking, this is a great location to explore the Valle Della ferriere, or to walk via Minuta and Scala to Ravello.

the apartment has no insect screens for the windows, so it was really hard to air the room. When we opened the window, ten to twenty mosquitos entered immediately. Without airing the apartment it gets very humid very quickly. The kitchen is spacious, but was not super well equipped. There were no cutting knives and only one small garbage bag for one week. But when we asked for a knive, the host responded immediately, which we really appreciated! Also very small shampoo bags to cover an entire week.

The view was spectacular, really quiet and calm place. We just wanted to sit in terrace and admire the hills and sea. The apartments were beautiful and clean and there was everything what you could need on vaccation. The hosts were very friendly, was really nice to meet and talk to them, breakfast were so good - various cofee and warm crouasanes 🤩 The location was good, it 1100 stairs to get there - downstairs it is 15min to walk to Amalfi, upstairs - about 30min, but there is a bus station from Amalfi to Pontone, near to apartments. I could say that this was the best apartments while we were travelling in Italy! Good luck to you guys! Hope to see you again 😊

We could not be more thankful to Antonella and her husband. They were the absolute best! The place was so quiet and pretty with all the lemon tree. The view was breathtaking and it was easy to go directly to amalfi from the stairs or from the city bus. There were a couple of restaurant around in Pontone that you can walk to directly from the room with very beautiful view. Also, the room was very gorgeous with air conditioning and a very very nice shower. Unfortunately my boyfriend was very sick when we were there and he needed to be rushed to the hospital immediately. Antonella and her husband called the paramedics for us when we needed help, Antonella’s husband also waited with me for approximately 5-6 hours at the hospital when we arrived and they brought me to the hospital multiple times so I could see my boyfriend and give him everything that he needed. With this hotel as your choice of stay for your vacation you know for sure that if something happens to you or your family you won’t be left my yourself, the owner and her husband will be there for you and help you. They are 2 beautiful persons and we were blessed that they were there for us at this particular moment.

The hosts were amazing and very accomodating with a range of information. The views are amazing and the accomodation gives a real italy feel.

Antonio, Antonella, and Agostina were fantastic hosts! The property is located up in the mountains away from the busyness of Amalfi, but still relatively easy to get to by bus. The lemon garden is absolutely beautiful and was a perfect place for us to relax on vacation.

The sweetest, most genuine and accommodating hosts ever! Antonio and Antonella made us feel more like family than customers. We traveled with another couple whom had never been to Italy, and our stay made them fall more in love with the country, the landscape, and - most importantly- the people. This is in large part to how gracious and kind everyone was to us during our stay. As for the property, the photos don't even begin to do it justice. I also tried to take photos to capture how beautiful the grounds and location were, but it's all too beautiful to recreate with anything other than your own two eyes. If you find yourself at Poggio Angelarosa, do try to experience their dinner with music. We were treated to an unforgettable night of local, fresh food, and were serenaded by local musicians for a night that we will never forget. And the breakfast: amazing and fresh! We were all really sad we had to leave.
