The Tea Garden

Die Atmosphäre im Haus, die besondere Einrichtung ist sehr stimmungsvoll. Es gibt frische Blumen im Frühstücksraum. Die Lage in den Teeplantagen ist sehr gut, man kann vom Garten aus in die Plantagen bis in den Ort laufen. Ishan, der Manager, hat uns bei allem geholfen: Einen besonders guten Fahrer für den Ausflug zu dem Ramboda Waterfall und der Labookelly Teefabrik besorgt, hat sich stets sehr aufmerksam um unser Wohlbefinden bemüht und sogar sehr kurzfristig Zugtickets nach Kandy für uns gebucht. Er ist ein Schatz, sowie die gesamte Belegschaft! Die Gespräche mit ihm und seine warme Herzlichkeit haben den Aufenthalt hier zu etwas Besonderem gemacht.

Lovely big villa with a big upstairs room with big beds but power boards with electricity outlets were behind the beds and as the roof angled down behind the bed we kept cracking our heads on the beams. An extension cord would help or outlets or outlets on vertical walls where there’s easy access. The decor is very pleasing. Kitchen downstairs has a big fridge and there is a kettle and also a place for guests to prepare food but the young man who prepares breakfast does it somewhere in another house and thus he took some time to bring me the coffee i asked for before departing for Horton Plains. Suggest a hot thermos of coffee made the night before might help. He made me 2 snack boxes and served my cousin who didn’t do the hike in the villa. It was a great breakfast compared to most we had on our tour. The host was very friendly and the landscaping is nice.

Too close to the local monastery where nighttime drumming was annoyingly loud. Luckily it rained and blew loud gusts which created masking noises. It’s too costly for what it is.

The host Ishan , Vinu and Hussain took good care of us. Breakfastwas great.. As the Vesak festival was going on and it was noisy, we were offered ear plugs. We could manage even without that.The tea garden was a short walk from the stay. Beautiful garden

The approach road could be better.

A truly unique stay surrounded by lush tea plantations—while it’s a bit removed from the village centre, the peaceful setting more than makes up for it. The manicured gardens are stunning, and the staff are genuinely attentive and caring, ensuring your stay is both enjoyable and relaxing. A beautiful escape from the everyday.
