Two Bed First Floor Apartment in Village location

The seating in the living room was really comfortable comprising of a sofa and chair (so often seating provided in apartments is an uncomfortable sofa bed and nothing else so this was a welcome change) We loved the quiet location in the village of Foston. Kirsty and the visitor book provided good suggestions of places to visit and eat. The Reindeer at Long Bennington was a very good recommendation. We visited Barnsdale Gardens in Rutland a half hour drive south, well worth the visit. Had the weather been better, the outside table and chairs on the decking would have been lovely. Although there are no amenities in the village, Long Bennington is only a five minute drive away. It has a coffee shop, The Reindeer and a Co-op.

It would be helpful we felt for future guests to be aware that the bathroom is not on the same level as the bedrooms. The two bedrooms are through the living room and up a few steps (one of the low doorways mentioned in previous reviews is at the bottom). A rail on one side would help! It wasn't a major issue for us but elderly guests or tall guests need to be aware of it.

Very roomy, and cosy, ideal for a couple with or without children. The fridge had some essentials like milk and also Bread. The. Slipper’s were welcome.

I’m 6ft so 2 of the doors are lower, but I didn’t mind as it’s quirky.

Great location

Clean, comfortable, beautiful location and best of all a homely feeling to the apartment. The owners responded quickly to my questions and even supplied bread, butter, jam, milk, little breakfast cereal boxes and also tea/coffee.

The only thing, which wasn't a deal-breaker, was the low door ways from the lounge separating between the bedrooms and the bathroom/kitchen areas. But that's normal for a cottage-like apartment and in all fairness, I'm well over 6 foot tall.

Warm cosy everything we needed for our stay and a lovely touch of milk, bread and butter left for us :-)

Great location for our family visiting, quiet location, but onto the A1 and off in no time!! (It was good to have some emergency rations and Some tea/coffee facilities provided in the kitchen for our arrival…. Thanks!

Initially it was unclear which door led to the property we were renting… typically it was the last one we tried!!! But there was nothing to dislike about our stay.

Location was great.
