Holiday in a paradise

New house and clean Owner was responsive and acted quickly 2 night stay

Could not get the oven to work. Didn't have basic stuff like hand towels, cleaning cloth for kitchen and basic cooking stuff like foil or wax paper and kitchen paper Advertised breakfast included but did not provide sufficient food eg only 4 eggs for 4 people for 2 nights and basic jam etc Advertised satellite TV but owner did not set up password for us. The owner responded quickly and provided what we needed and set up Netflix for us after I texted him and asked for what we needed. However in the end the oven stopped working and we had to microwave the chicken we were roasting. Owner needs to put more thought into what he needs to provide in the house which is commonly provided in airbnb House was not what the advert states eg it stated a swimming pool. Also I did not like parking on the street as there was no driveway to drive in.

Easy to find accommodation nestled in Alberttown and close to essentials. The property was clean and tidy and the beds were lovely and comfortable. Directions and information from the owner was easy to follow. Very nice to have a few essential goods provided by the host. Despite the wet weather, we had an enjoyable stay here during our driving holiday of the South Island.

As there is no real protection from the rain at the entry point, a mat to absorb moisture placed just inside the front door would be beneficial. When coming in from the rain there is no spot to dry shoes and they can’t be left exposed to the rain outside. It’s a small thing but it would help keep the floors clean and prevent a slip hazard.

This is a great place to stay. It has everything you need, very clean and nice house. In my opinion the price is just a little too high for what you get considering it’s not right close by the lake and doesn’t offer any other extras. But still, great place to stay, just on the pricier side.
