The rooms are spacies and you can just step out to see the Galaxy on a clear night. The host is friendly. It is 10 minutes drive to the lakeside.
The site provides simple breakfast, but no cooking oil. we borrowed some from the friendly neighbours across the street.The facilities in the house are new and useful.

We were unable to find the property by ourselves. We don’t have gps and there were no instructions on Booking.com. I phoned and someone came to help us find the property, which was not in the road given as an address.
The location is on a residential estate. It was a long way from Wanaka and no obvious signs of any shops, bars etc within walking distance. After we had left and the next day, we were advised by booking.com that the property managers had complained that we had broken a glass door. We had not!! There was a charge requested for that alleged breakage, which we have declined to pay. I would suggest that anyone staying there take photos when they leave to avoid being falsely accused as we were of breakage.

Everything was excellent—it felt just like home. The community was very quiet, and we had a great rest.
You can only drive to the city center, and there’s nowhere within walking distance, but it’s not a big problem.
