The Cock Hotel

The people who greeted us at the property were extremely polite and friendly. Gave us all the information we could hope for and even suggested good places for breakfast. Property was quiet even though it’s above a pub. Plenty of parking. Lovely area and room and its facilities were perfect. The flapjack was the welcome bonus that got me up Pen y Fab the following day.

The toilet pump was noisy in our room and others which makes you a little conscious at 2 in the morning but nothing the establishment could do in this regard as they have little alternative but to use the pumps due to the room layout. Again I stress this wasn’t a big deal at all.

Room was superb, hosts (Melissa and Steve) were really friendly and helpful, dinner was outstanding. Only wish we were staying longer, but there's always next time.

I could have done without someone hitting my car in the car park overnight! Obviously, this is not the fault of the hotel.

Multiple air fresheners, macerator on toilet a bit noisy (just don't use in night!). Speaker in the bar underneath directly under the bedroom.

Lovely staff/management .. v v clean n tidy and food was fantastic and v accomadating as im fussy ... bedroom num 2 was lovely v cosy and spotless

Bed needs a topper as u can feel the line in the matresses and noisy devan bases ...needs a brighter main light bulb as the weather was v gloomy and the room was rather dark . the water system v v noisy ..we thought it was a tumble dryer when we 1st arrived in the nx room doing a cycle ... unfortunatly its a weird water system but would definatly stay again .. great pub

Location was the key to choosing this place. Good parking, very good food and pub next 👌 the room was nice and the bed was very comfy.

The kettle didn't work correctly, and one of the towels was not clean as should be.
