The White Hart Eynsham

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber. Die Einrichtung und Farbkombination (Möbel, Bettwäsche) ergaben ein heimeliges Ambiente. Die Strasse, wo das Pub steht, ist sehr charmant und gepflegt. Die Mitarbeiter/Inhaber waren freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Etwas hellhörig - nicht wegen den regulären Pubgästen, aber falls die Mitarbeiter vergessen, die Publüftung um 11 auszuschalten oder wenn Gäste vom Zelt im Garten (wird für Feiern vermietet) nach Hause gehen. Der Inhaber war ausgespochen zuvorkommend, informierte mich im Voraus und sorgte dafür, dass Rücksicht genommen wurde. Ich habe mich gut aufgehoben gefühlt - die Störung war nur kurz und der persönliche Kontakt sehr angenehm.

Stains on the duvet and walls. Mold around the bath taps. Cramped, not seeming like the pictures on booking.com. uncomfortable bed. Damp feel about the room. Mattresses stacked behind a clothes rail.

This pub with rooms does not provide breakfast, instead referring us to a nearby very good cafe/

The bed was comfortable, we were told how to turn on the radiator - necessary on a very autumnal evening, but by luck I found the isolator switch for the heated towel rail as the bathroom was cold. Sadly the shower (looked like it was probably expensive but a very long time ago - judging by the limescale build up below the controls) was impossible to operate. I eventually git the right temperature coming out of the shower head, but scalding hot water kept coming out of the tap. IT was an unusual design and neither of us could get it to work properly. Also the room lock was faulty; a cover-plate kept slipping off and it was initially very difficult to unlock in order to leave the room! There were no staff around in the morning when we left/ The pub works together with it's 'sister pub', the Red Lion, and it felt that The WhIte Hart was being neglected. There are more than 12 pubs in Eynsham and it's a pity the Whiten Hart is not being looked after as it's potentially great.
