Casal da Viúva

The Casal da Viúva was an amazing place to stay. The hosts are extremely welcoming! We arranged to have dinner there, and the two of them made us a great home-cooked meal. The breakfast spread was excellent. We got to hear stories of wine production in the Doura Valley, got a tour of their personal collection of historical wine making and farming implements, and had a very enjoyable time. Highly recommended!!

Friendly atmosphere, cozy and comfortable rooms, attention to details, tasty breakfast. It's a pity we have booked only 1 night in such a wonderful place

Incredibly friendly hosts and the room was big and super clean. The breakfast was also great . Would highly recommend it and stay there again.

Lovely, lovely, lovely!!!! We got lost on our way out of the village and had to ask for a taxi. They even checked in on us in the evening to make sure all was well! Excellent breakfast, welcoming hosts and lovely stay (plus Holly is adorable!).
