Wafaifo Resort Hoi An

Das Hotel befindet sich in ruhiger, günstiger Lage etwas ausserhalb der Altstadt, diese ist fussläufig jedoch leicht erreichbar. Das Hotel selbst zeigt einen sehr guten Standard, die Zimmer sind sauber, die Becken bequem, das Frühstücksbuffet ist zu empfehlen. Der Pool war gepflegt, das Gym war gut ausgerüstet. Hervorzuheben ist die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals.

Das einzige, was man noch verbessern könnte wäre eine zweite Kaffeemaschine beim Frühstücksbuffet, es kann dann morgens, vor allem bei mehr Besuchern, etwas länger dauern.

Beautiful spot with friendly staff and a great breakfast. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and we really appreciated that they kept our complimentary water bottles well-stocked.

We wish that the pool area got a bit more sun, but due to the angles of the building and the sun moving throughout the day, there was only a relatively short window when we could tan on our loungers. Not a big deal I just didn’t think of this before booking.

Mysigt boende med allt du kan önska dig. Läget, maten, och fantastisk personal. Finns cyklar att låna och för den som inte vill ge sig ut i trafiken erbjuds gratis transport till både stranden och old town som man får anmäla sig till en dag i förväg. Frukostbuffén var fantastisk

overall, the architecture, construction and visible finish of the hotel were all very good. The hotel staff were efficient, helpful and happy.

The design with the swimming pool in the centre between the two main accommodation blocks seemed like a good idea to the architects but in fact it destroyed the amenity of the property. Maybe the cultural differences had an effect on my view of the amenity of the property. The property is advertised as a 5Star hotel. Actually and functionally, it could at best be described as a 3.5 Star family hotel. Reasons for this are that there is little or no sound proofing between the units. Also the external noise from the swimming pool was incessant. Even with the balcony doors closed there was no relief from the children screaming all day in the pool. Also parents were yelling from there balconies or ground floor doors the full length of the pool at their children. This went on all day. This went on 6.30 am until at least 7.30 pm for the 5 days we were there. The children ran riot in the breakfast restaurant running around between tables, throwing cushions and playing tag with no parental or hotel staff intervention. Maybe this is an Asian thing, but Europeans do not consider this acceptable behavior in a 5star "luxury" hotel. If you are looking for a 5 star relaxing holiday don't book this hotel !
