High Tor House

We had a great stay here. Everything met our expectations. A large living room with a great view, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and clean! You are grateful for such a sta lynif the weather turns bad. And Bryan was always responsive and helpful. Many thanks for having us !

Tolles Haus , Toller Blick,

Leider war am Nachbargrundstück eine Baustelle mit 2 Baggern die gemeißelt haben. D.h. die Terasse konnte tagsüber nicht genutzt werden. Auch im Haus extreme Lautstärke. Sowas sagt man eigentlich vor der Anreise !!!!

This is the most wonderful place I have ever stayed. The house ,the view perfect.

There is nothing to dislike. If you love tranquility,walking or just relaxing .

The cottage was really modern & absolutely spotless, it had everything we needed. The decor is to an extremely high standard. There was plenty of space including a lovely separate area to read & relax. The view is amazing too. It was too cold for us to use the outside facilities but it was still beautiful to look at. The property manager was great, we had a couple of questions initially & he came back to us straight away with solutions.

The only thing I would raise as an issue was the wifi, although it's not really an issue the owners can fix, as the whole island has this problem. The 4G signal was good though so we used that instead. We also did suggest to the property owner that a road safety mirror could be placed on the road opposite the cottage as unfortunately the cottage is on a fast road & the visibility isn't great when driving out of the drive.

Das Haus liegt nicht weit entfernt in Alleinlage vom Hafen in Tarbert und war für uns der ideale Ausgangspunkt diesen Teil der Insel zu erkunden. Die Ausstattung ist fantastisch, es fehlt hier an nichts. Unserer Highlight war der große Kamin mit Brennholz Vorrat im Wohnzimmer und der atemberaubende Ausblick. Regnerische Stunden ließen sich hier problemlos aushalten. Wir würden immer wieder her kommen.

We loved it! The house is beautiful and even more spacious than we expected. It was modern, clean, comfortable and stylish. We had everything we needed, and we were delighted with the generous extra welcome treats too. The location is ideal - only 10 minutes from the ferry. The views across the water are stunning. The weather was kind to us and so we sat out on the deck a lot - enjoying the sunrise in the morning, eating lunch, and even stargazing! We were there to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and it was perfect in every way. We hope to return again soon.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. The only small thing to mention is that the Wifi is slow - however that wasn't a problem for us as the mobile 4G signal was really good.

Absolutely amazing stay. The house was spotless and cozy. We loved the views and the fireplace! I usually get back pain when I sleep flat (on any bed!) and this bed was SO comfortable that it was the best sleep I have ever had on a vacation. Location is great - easy to access lots of trails, downtown Tarbert and Scalpay. We will be back!
