Wonderful hosts

In the very heart of Sestri Levante, BB Portobello is such a beautiful and traditional place to stay. Our room had a wonderful sea-view and the breakfast was exceptional! The accommodation is surrounded by high quality restaurants, bars and shops. We were impressed by the hosts, who have time for their guests and offer their local knowledge for travelling both locally and beyond the region. We would love to return to see more of this area, which is so well-served by the reliable and cheap rail network. If we are lucky enough to come back, BB Portobello would be our first choice!

Super-friendly managers, great breakfast, a bit small but nice room

I loved everything about my stay at B&B Portobella. Marzia and Francesco were brilliant hosts, friendly, informative and no request was too much. The location and the views from both windows were fabulous and the apartment was spotless. Traveling alone, I felt completely safe in the apartment and location and was delighted with the many special places to eat close by. This stay was great value for money with a breakfast the size for a family of 4!! I highly recommend this B&B whether traveling alone or with a partner.

The fact I only stayed one night.

This was our first trip to Sestri Levante and we had a wonderful experience. Marzia and her brother Francisco are outstanding hosts and they want you to experience the best that Sestri has to offer. Breakfast was delicious and every morning Marzia would ask about our plans for the day and offer suggestions that improved our experiences. I would highly recommend them to anyone I knew would be traveling through Sestri.

It was is in a fantastic location right in the main pedestrian / restaurant laneways. It was also right at the public beach. Francesco and Mariza was very friendly and helpful. They cooked a home cooked breakfast every morning and even did our washing for us. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

The most magical spot right in the middle of the old town. Seconds away from the beach and the Main Street. Stunning view of the bay from the window. And our hosts; Francesco & his wife were so lovely. Full of advice and stories. Friendly and accomodating. Highly recommend!

Nothing really! The B&B is up two flights of stairs with no lift but that is pretty standard. The church is very close so you hear the bells rolling in the morning. Again - to be expected. It was a very comfortable stay!

Absolutely everything. The location, the cleanliness and the fantastic owners. We didn’t want to leave here it is so cosy and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing.

Absolutely Nothing. The property was perfect. Wouldn’t change a thing. Highly recommend this place and hopefully we will come back.

It was in the centre of town with views over the town square and beautiful water views from the breakfast room. Our hosts were very helpful with places to visit and to eat. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and cosy and daily breakfast was delicious. It is close to the Bay of Silence which was great for a refreshing swim. Also Francesco picked us up from the station and dropped us off there to catch our train back to Milan.

Good hosts, couldn't do enough for you. Location was perfect, central for everything with the beach a minutes walk away. The aircon was a life saver given the temperature.

The room was on the second floor, so anyone with mobility issues would have big problems. The shower in the room was too compact, and the shower head kept coming off when touched. If you're eating out you must like fish.
