Err wi fi didn’t work for me. But didn’t go there for the wi fi.

Very friendly staff and chatty locals drinking in the bar Lovely old pub with lots of quirky bits and pieces dotted around Restaurant separate to bar, dogs welcome in the bar for our evening meal Room was clean, showered was hot, bed was comfortable Food was excellent and, thank you, served on hot plates! This Inn is tucked away and was very quiet, but the main road is nearby for easy access to the Northumberland countryside.

It was excellent value for money, just off the A1. It enabled us to break a long drive home, staying in a comfortable room with a good restaurant.

Perfect location fir sightseeing. The accomodation was well presented and excellent value with great service. The dinner menu was very well executed and we were particulary impressed with all the wines on the list available by the glass. High recommend.

Everything about it is just wonderful. The moment we walked in to the cosy bar which is my idea of a dream pub. Gorgeous decor, log fire, warm friendly atmosphere - perfect. Greeted by Charlotte who was so lovely and helpful and couldn’t have looked after us more. Food amazing. Rooms again decorated beautifully and very clean and comfy. Little treats in the rooms which was a lovely touch. Location is divine. In the country so very calm and peaceful. Breakfast was amazing. All the staff we met were so friendly and just lovely. We had a perfect stay and highly recommend staying here. We wish we could have stayed another night.

Perfect location. The lodge is lovely and private with a gorgeous setting! Hot tub was brilliant and facilities were great. Lovely little touches too - like a slice of cake and a bottle of wine.

Nothing! It was amazing. The only issue was wifi connectivity. It didn’t bother us but it might annoy some.
