White Swan Inn

Great bedroom and bed was very comfortable. Food was very good and well looked after by staff. Nice touches of cake etc in rooms.

Didn’t like the bathroom floor in room 2 and also heating not great overnight.

The room was extremely comfortable with quirky touches which emphasised the individuality of the property. It’s a lovely touch to provide a small decanter of sloe gin and millionaire shortbread. The menu was interesting and the food we had was both delicious and well presented.

Unfortunately, I was feeling decidedly under the weather and so our trip had to be curtailed. However, this had nothing to do with the accommodation and we will certainly be booking again in future.

My wife and I spent a full weekend at the White Swan Inn.The whole experience was excellent. The White Swan is in a great location to explore all that Northumberland has to offer. The evening dining experience was exceptional with the diverse menu offering top quality locally sourced food. Breakfast was again a joy. The accommodation was spacious and well equipped. Attention to details was clearly evident

Perfect location for exploring Northumberland and south east Scotland. The food is exceptional and all staff were lovely. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Nothing other than I find the mattress in room 3 to be a bit hard but that’s just personal preference.

Everything and exceptional food, service and hospitality in the off season. The vegetarian options were wonderful for my partner.

Plenty of choice for breakfast. Made fresh. Very good dinner menu and lots of choice. Spacious room and lots of little extras. Freshly baked items every day. Little decanter if mead. Fresh milk. Spacious bathroom. Intimate little inn. Only 3 guest rooms. Owners are so friendly and helpful along with a staff who all seem to be happy in their work place

Excellent breakfast. Plenty to eat and all first class

On arrival we had a drink in the bar sat next to a wonderful log fire. In the evening we enjoyed a fantastic meal served in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and the food menu and wine list was exceptional. We had a lovely time staying overnight here for the first time. The room was very comfortable and had large ensuite bathroom with shower and separate roll top bath. In the morning we had a wonderful hearty breakfast before heading out for a walk round Twizell estate then onto Bamburgh Castle and surrounding area.
