Convenient for what I needef

Creaky floor. a bit loud but then above a pub.Thought over priced

Comfy beds. Clean room. Decent shower. Great location. We ate in the pub and it was very nice. Staff were very friendly.

There was no towel rail in the bathroom, therefore nowhere to put wet towels. There wasn't even a hook on the bathroom door. Also no shelf or anywhere to put toiletries in the bathroom. The hot tap only seems to dribble out water. Desperately needs a new bedside cabinet.

Its clean and comfortable.

Creaking floorboards

I arrived at the location in the dark, seemed a fairly normal small village, school, pub and church. When I left in the daylight I realised it is in extremely beautiful location with outstanding scenic views in every direction. The Kings Head is ideally located for a visit to Welshpool and surrounding area, I will attempt to stay longer next time.

I arrived at about 2150 having been driving for about 7 hours that day. I was hoping for 3 or 4 quiet pints before turning in, but only managed one as the manager/landlord insisted on closing at 2200! I later overheard him telling another customer that he had a "thumping headache" so he is forgiven, the money for the other 3 pints staying in my pocket! That was my only disappointment, locals seemed friendly but I didn't really get a chance to interact with them!

A simple overnight Monday for work. Enjoyable evening - please note the restaurant isn’t open on Monday and Tuesday. The pub locals were friendly and welcoming as was the landlord and landlady.
