Taj Cape Town - fabulous 2 bedroom near top floor with stunning Table Mtn views

Beautiful and luxurious suite with ample space for kids. Extremely clean and well maintained. View of Table Mountain and Lions Head is spectacular. Breakfast was lovely with a quality spread and ala carte options.

Room check in times were extremely delayed for a few families that day. We waited at the executive lounge and only checked into the suite at approximately 5pm. Service at the executive lounge was almost non existent. Had to track down the host/butler for service as he was absent for most of our time there.

The apartment was large, extremely well furnished had a large living/dining room and kitchen. The 2 bedrooms were large with own bathrooms, which were stocked with luxury bathing necessities. Huge bonus were the separate balconies off each bedroom and the view of table mountain. I loved that the kitchen had a coffee machine and complementary pods. My business partner and I stayed on this trip and the facilities were perfect and provided exceptional privacy, but this can also easily host a family of 4.

The only very small niggle was that the kitchen wasn't well equipped. There was a fridge, oven and dishwasher and the dining table means that you could cook a meal if you wanted, but the kitchen only had a small amount of cutlery, some glasses and cups.

The staff and location

The room furniture was old, beds uncomfortable and the daily housekeeping / cleaning was very shoddy. The room service food wasn’t of a high standard and not something you would want to order again.

There are privately owned condos within the hotel. And this one was a huge one with unbelievable views from every room and the living room. You can clouds rolling over table mountain and lions head from your bed. If you are a family needing two rooms, this condo can be an excellent option. They also extended a late check out as my return flight was late at night
