"Warm & Cosy cottage"

The beds were very comfortable and the cottage was warm & cosy. The kitchen was well equipped so you would be able to cook anything easily. The location was scenic and quiet with handy access to Melrose and near to plently of places to explore.

For those of us who do more self catering perhaps a few more pots and pans would be desirable.

We received a very warm welcome from the owners who go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. The property was very well equipped and most importantly, it made you feel like you are home. Wish I was back there now!

"Lovely stay, cosy house , quiet setting , near to Melrose town ."

Clean , comfortable beds, warm, quiet location, 15 min walk to town . Be aware no path on main roads outside property or street lights for about 200 yds towards Melrose until reach streets nearby . Worth taking a torch if going out on evening , some small amounts of traffic on road .

"A great location for exploring the Scottish borders. Overall very comfortable, just a few niggles."

Location fantastic. Hosts lovely and accommodating. Beds v comfortable. Good sized rooms. Very pet friendly. Boiler wasn't working on arrival so no hot water, however Donald remedied the situation promptly and arranged for a plumber the following morning.

Cleanliness, poor to downstairs. Lots of cobwebs around beams, furniture and light fittings. Crockery and kitchen utensils dirty. Plates and cups with chips in. Main bedroom door almost impossible to open or close as trapping on carpet. Same with wardrobes. Poor access into Melrose by foot as no defined pathway from property and have to walk on road which is winding and dangerous for several hundred yards.
