Quiet and comfort

The curtains were a bit small or narrow and did not provide complete blocking of sun light in the morning.

The accommodation is good and in a great location. If you travel by car, parking can be a problem, because only public parking is available in the zone. As for the hosts, they are extremely frivolous and inconsiderate. We were in Budapest in the middle of winter, there was no heating in the accommodation. We contacted the host countless times, he answered after a long time. He said he would send a repairman right away to try and fix the problem. No one came. After that the host told us that someone would come in the morning to solve the problem, but again no one came. They left us 3-4 electric heaters, which probably means that they were aware of the heating problem, but they were not of much use, because when more than two are turned on, there is a current overload, so we are left without electricity in the whole accommodation. Conclusion, the accommodation is solid, but we froze, the host is extremely frivolous, inconsiderate and unprofessional.

Locations and size of apartment were perfect

Only 5 dining chair and 6 of us staying, was a rip in sofa but this didn’t affect stay

The apartment is spacious, there are 3 separate rooms. One room with a double bed plus a single bed, and 2 rooms for 2 people each. We had sufficient room for 5 people. There are 2 toilets, one in a small room with shower, a the second one in the bathroom next to the bath tube. The apartment was very clean. The location is good, walking distance to subway, busses, trams and also for nice walks in the city. Many good restaurants and bars are close by.

We visited Budapest in winter, it was very cold in the apartment. There is no active central heating but we had 3 electric radiators to heat the whole big apartment. It took 1 day until the room temperature was okay-ish, staying mainly in the kitchen. The radiators tripped the fuse several times so we lost power in some areas of the apartment and had to re-activate the fuse. One of these rooms does not have an outside window. Generally, the furniture is used and some broken and badly repaired. The couch has a hole in the cover, the drawers in the bedroom cannot be used. A chair had a loose backrest. The equipment of the kitchen is okay, not too many dishes available, no dishwasher and no tea towels or kitchen towels were available in the apartment, which is not helpful as everything has to be washed by hand. Additionally, the room with toilet and shower smelled badly of sewage, and putting water in the drain did not improve the situation. As the toilet is directly adjacent to the kitchen with the table this was very annoying when the toliet was used while we were eating. We contacted the host at the second day of our stay but no attempt for improvement was made.

Entrance to the property is unsightly, the lift tiny & very slow, we were actually afraid of getting stuck in it... Radiators did not work, (no gas/oil supply) only heating was 3 electric heaters which we didn't feel safe leaving on all night or when we were out all day. No instructions how to use boiler for hot water

The apartment was easy to access. It was fairly close to central Budapest, easy walking distance. It was clean, and the beds were comfortable.

The curtains in the lounge room and one of the bedrooms were broken and did not close. There was not enough curtains in these rooms to close. They need to be fixed. The lounge chair looked very dirty and we had to put spare doonas on them to make them comfortable. There was no cover on the ironing board.
