Eco Rice Fields House

A place / location for R&R, Surrounded by mountains / natures. And if you are there at the right time to see the rice fields terrace maturing…wow. Owners are a young friendly couple with three (self entertaining) children. Owner can also set you up with the taxi service as needed, since the property is a bit out of town. Oh, and we were taking the overnight bus to Hà Nội…the owners were nice enough to let us hang around after checking out till the time we wanted to leave.

It was a bit hard to find (no one’s fault)… So here are the directions Take a taxi to ‘Ly Stream’ restaurant in Lao Chai pic 2, pic 1 entrance to the village and the restaurant is at the end of the bridge (we ate there 3 times), And take the walking (motor cycle) path in front of Ly Stream restaurant (2-3 mins walk), Make the first left on the path and the Home Stay is straight ahead (another 20 secs walk), If you see H’Mong Eco House or Nhà Bên Suôi,…you have walked pass it, Eco Rice Fields House is to the left of H’Mong Eco House.

Go there.

The homestay is new, and is lacking some features, like wardrobe, cabinet and small thing, but is improving fast

Liked the location and the quietness of the place, the beds are not the comfiest but if you don’t mind a quite hard mattress you will love your stay here.

I stayed here for 4 nights and had a truly relaxing and memorable experience. This lovely homestay is run by a warm and kind young couple with their three adorable kids. Pros: The location is perfect if you're looking to escape the noise, it's tucked away from the busy town, offering peaceful and quiet nights. Surrounded by stunning rice terraces, waterfalls, streams, and paddy fields, the views are nothing short of breathtaking. Several cafes and local restaurants are within walking distance. The hosts are incredibly friendly, speak good English, and made me feel very welcomed. The home cooked dinners were absolutely delicious and came in generous portion, definitely a highlight of my stay. Suggestions: The homestay was a bit tricky to find at first due to the lack of clear signage. Adding a sign at the entrance or along the way would be really helpful for future guests. I was hoping for a shared dinner experience with the hosts and other guests, but it turned out to be more of a private dinner. It would be nice if the communal aspect could be encouraged. Overall, this place is a gem for anyone looking to unwind in nature and experience the beauty of Sapa in a more authentic and serene setting.

Nice family run this hotel, they are kind and helpful. I enjoyed trecking very much.

The couple who runs this house is so lovely! They were very helpful with transportation, tours, food, laundry. The food was amazing as well and the beds are heated!! Also the location is so nice it’s a bit of a drive from the city but it’s worth it in my opinion!

I would recommend notifying them if you are planning on ordering dinner from them earlier in the day

The hosts were extremely accomodating. I was sick during my stay and they helped me go to the pharmacy. They also arranged a tour with a local guide. The location is quiet and beautiful. Beds are comfortable.
