The Three Keys duplex

Great location.

Cold inside living room with room heater. Bedroom was warm with AC/heater unit.

Location can’t be better. Kitchen was stocked with pretty much any thing as for pots and pans, plenty of cups and plates.

Some room don’t have ceiling. That’s a bit wired. I could tell it’s a big renovation using old house. So maybe they didn’t have a way.

The location was excellent. It was close enough to easily access both West Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon. Unfortunately, due to a rockfall, the road to the canyon was closed for our entire stay. But, West Sedona still abounds with beauty, hiking trails and lots to see and do. The rooms were spacious and large. The bed was very comfortable. I would have rated it higher except that the whole duplex smelled strongly of the fragrance in the laundry detergent, and it was the worst in the beds. The property manager did work with me quite a bit regarding removal of items that might hold a fragrance because I am very allergic to a lot of fragrances. The smell of the laundry detergent actually did not affect me much, but my friend also has issues with a lot of fragrances. She does not get as sick as I do with fragrances, but she did get a nose bleed one day from inhaling the fragrance and she found it really hard to be in the duplex due to the scent. This probably would not be an issue for most people, but it was for us. The property had SO MANY conveniences: plenty of condiments, salad dressings, towels, pillows, blankets, temperature control in each bedroom in addition to the heater that was in the living room. There were multiple comfortable couches, one in the dining area and one in the living room. The bathrooms offered plenty of hot water. The property manager was very responsive to messages sent via booking.com. The neighborhood was very quiet, and the view from the front porch area was stupendous. My husband LOVED the place and he thought it was the best place we had ever stayed in.

At one point a fuse/circuit breaker got tripped and I was surprised because we were not using anything unusual or even a lot of small things. I did call and the property manager told us how to find the box with the circuit breakers and electricity soon came back on. The fragrance issue is the main thing that kept me from giving the place an Exceptional rating. We did search the place to try to determine why the fragrance filled the whole place. The couch did not smell like it, but the air held the fragrance. We did find a bottle of laundry soap with a cap missing. So, we found something to cover that hole and placed the soap outside for the remainder of our stay, bringing it back in when we left. To the credit of the property manager, I did not ask questions about the laundry detergent because I don’t generally have issues with that and I did not know before this that my friend would have that issue. The property manager did work with me regarding the things I asked about. I would think that if an unscented laundry detergent were used, it would address a lot of possible issues for those with allergies or sensitivity to fragrances.

The duplex was adorably quaint and the decor was just lovely. We only stayed for one night passing through Sedona. I wish we could have stayed longer! Loved the duplex!

Would have like a King size bed in one of the bedroom.

An amazing place in Sedona minutes walking from all uptown Sedona has to offer It’s a super comfortable apartment with a kitchen a living room and a comfy bedroom I loved everything about this place

Bathtub knobs could be updated

Good location, just a few minutes walk to Upper Sedona. Well equipped, clean and comfortable.
