The host was very accommodating and understanding.
The room had a strong smell of something that gave my partner and me a headache and a bad cough. We asked to cancel our stay and found a different hotel instead.

The accommodation is very spacious. Its location is excellent, as it is close to public transport and restaurants, yet it is very quiet. All the amenities you needed were present. The hosts are very friendly and they offer flexible luggage storage!
The wifi is shared across the hotel, so it is quite slow. Also, the pillows are too thin, but you can probably ask the hosts to change them.

We had a wonderful stay in Gion. Since we were a group of 6, we had the entire space to ourselves, which made it feel just like home. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming—the woman and man who greeted us made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. They also allowed us to check in early and kindly stored our luggage after check-out, which was a huge help. The location is great, the atmosphere is cozy, and the hospitality was exceptional. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Wonderful homestyle feeling in a very convenient part of town: just a short walk to Gion proper, and Sanjo Station and Sanjo Bridge. Ken, our host, was very warm and friendly and we were always happy to see him. The apartment was spacious and cozy, perfect for our group.
