The noise and the tenants walking pass as the bedroom is right there

We loved the location as one can walk from the apartment to all nearby restaurants, Muizenberg beach, Checkers around the corner as well as the train station. The keys were a bit of a misunderstanding, and we had to phone the agent who then contacted the building supervisor who let us in via the back door.

The drainpipe at kitchen sink leaked into a bucket which indicates they knew about the leak. The door which is supposed to cover this bucket / under counter where all cleaning stuff are kept, was dislodged and not even there.... slightly messy as one doesn't want to see those stuff when prep your breakfast etc. Maybe it was bad timing as the rest of the apartment was spot on

Very comfortable unit and very centrally located. The gas stove was a bonus for load shedding.

There are two flats available at Bali Beach Flats. The pictures on Booking.com show the larger flat which has a lounge/seating area. The second flat has only a bedroom and a corridor to the bathroom. I booked the smaller unit by mistake - I wasn't aware there were different sized units. My booking confirmation showed a picture of the larger unit with the seating area so that is what I thought I had booked. When we arrived the flat looked nothing like the photos on booking.com - no seating area. Fortunately we were able to upgrade to the larger unit. The unit was very comfortable but the booking is misleading.

The unit was cozy and the location was great. The kitchen was equiped with all that we needed for our stay. Would have appreciated a mop & our own iron - though we eventually got the iron from the other unit. The host ,Krystal was really sweet and was in communication with us from the morning of check in day. The whole stay was excellent. Would definitely recommend anyone looking for accomodation in Muizenberg.
