Mermaid Pool Studios and Bar

We absolutely loved everything about our stay here. The Appartment was nice and clean. The kitchen had everything you need to cook simple meals. The balcony is awesome with a nice view on the swimming pool. The pool bar is great for drinks and snacks and the owner was very nice and helpful. The pool is amazing and the hotel is located near restaurants, grocery shops and beaches.

So peaceful with a lovely couple running the place.Kitchen facilities available but simple food provided all day.Rooms simple but very clean. Very good value and will visit again.

Considering what we paid for a week stay, the room was clean and comfortable. Pool was nice!

The shower soaks the whole bathroom floor due to poor design - a mop and bucket is left permanently in the room for you to mop up after yourself! Room was rather cosy and air con loud.

Nice clean apartments, excellent pool and plenty of food and drink options at pool bar. Good location near to Acapulco, la grotta, beach around 30 min walk, bus stop to Corfu town over the road.

Very clean room, great pool and friendly staff. All round pleasant stay - thank you.

A little far from the main town, but actually this made it more quiet and less congested so I actually liked that about it.

The weather

Very friendly hosts. Good size pool with chairs/umbrellas. Small bar/restaurant on site. Green Bus stop 1 minute away which made for easy access from airport. 1.5 mile walk to Palaiokastritsa Beach. Great access to hiking trails to Lipades and Rovinia beaches as well as Lakones village. Hotel size room with kitchenette. Balcony with table. AC was good. WIFI ok. Rooms were cleaned frequently. Good value for busy location. Nice mountain views.

Pool was open to public so was at times was crowded with lots of kids. Markets are close by but too expensive so we would suggest buying food at LIDL in Corfu town before taking bus out to this area.

Noufris and Maria were wonderful hosts who couldn't do enough to help us, including helping my partner learn Greek throughout our stay and answering his many questions! Delicious ice cold Mythos and "milk" (ouzo!) were our beverages of choice, served at the bar with a smile and a joke. Maria kept our room wonderfully clean with fresh bedding and towels every two days throughout the fortnight. The room itself was everything we needed, featuring a basic kitchen area including a multipurpose grill/oven with a hob; a small bathroom with a shower, and a lovely ground floor terrace/balcony perfect for enjoying meals and drinks. My parents' room was similar, though theirs included a double bed rather than the twin single beds we had in our room. We didn't mind the single beds due to the heat, though our air con was very effective. The pool was a godsend, and several guests expressed that it is the best pool in Paleokastritsa! The location is perfect for exploring the local tavernas and beaches, and the minimarket across the road sells everything for your self-catering needs. On the days we hired a car, we enjoyed trips to the surrounding villages such as Krini, Makrades and Doukades. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and are already planning to return next summer!

A double bed would have been our preference over two singles, but it was no problem.
