Bell Cottage by Ludlow Castle with onsite parking

We always travel to Ludlow in December to see relatives before Christmas. We usually do the trip in a day, travelling from, and back to, Manchester but decided this year that we would stay for a couple of nights. Bell Cottage is in a great location, really central and easy to walk into the town centre. It is a lovely little cottage and just right for two people :)

One really small suggestion would be to have either a radio or a TV in the kitchen. We're very used to having music/the radio playing while we're cooking so it felt very quiet in there!

We think this property has been recently modernised, as it was spotlessly clean throughout.

Nothing really, other than the hot water could have been a bit hotter for bathing perhaps.

The house is beautifully furnished and nicely presented. The separate lounge was comfortable and well laid out. Everything in the kitchen is very much new. The heating facilities are effective and easy to use. The location is simply outstanding, 50 metres from Ludlow Castle and a similar distance from the main market area. Within a very easy walk are a good range of interesting small shops, places to eat and historic pubs, along with the town's main theatre. I enjoyed it all: it's nice town with lots to see and do for a short break. Having a well appointed and very convenient place to stay added an extra dimension to the trip.

No problems for us at all. It's perhaps worth mentioning that an infirm person might find the stairs in the property difficult with suitcases.

The cottage was beautiful, well equipped, and in the perfect place to enjoy Ludlow. So convenient and with secure parking.

Nothing not to like, it's lovely but in facilities in stated hairdryer so I left mine at home only to look everywhere and not find one. So, I had to manage without.

The sofas in the lounge weren’t very comfortable but they suited the style of the accommodation.

Spur of the moment booking turned a weekend away into something a little more special. Now normally we are a Travel Inn Lodge Premier type of couple that go for cheep and cheerful , this was not out usual type of haunt. But Dam ! from the moment of arrival we were glad we paid a little more than we were used to. From the location in the centre of Ludlow opposite the castle , to all the little extras the property provided, everything was faultless ... the three levelled cottage was perfectly set out and tastefully presented, we felt at home and relaxed from the minute we entered.... try it , you'll love it

If I was being "forced" to find a negative .... and this is of such a small chink in the armour , was that the keybox was a little tricky to return both key & gate fob to, a bit of gnashing of teeth and tongue sticking out and it was finally returned and cover closed , but lets face it that's not a deal breaker
