I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at a hotel in Patna, and I must say it was one of the most disappointing and frustrating stays I have ever encountered. Not only did the hotel fail to honor the price shown during the booking process, but their customer service was abysmal. Upon arrival at the hotel after a grueling 15-hour journey from Delhi to Patna, I was shocked to learn that the hotel demanded an additional 1000 Rs per day on top of the agreed-upon price. This was completely contrary to the price I had booked and expected to pay. It is unacceptable for a hotel to advertise one price during the booking process and then demand more money upon arrival. To make matters worse, the hotel staff even had the audacity to ask me to shift to another room the next day to accommodate another customer. This further highlighted their lack of professionalism and disregard for their guests' comfort and convenience. After a long and exhausting journey, the last thing I wanted was to deal with such unnecessary hassles. What frustrated me the most was the hotel's unwillingness to provide a solution or rectify the situation. They seemed unconcerned about the inconvenience caused to me and showed no remorse for their false price advertisement. It is disappointing when a reputable platform like Booking.com fails to address such issues and provide a satisfactory resolution. As a weary traveler, I had neither the time nor the energy to search for an alternative accommodation after such a long journey. I felt trapped and taken advantage of by the hotel's deceptive practices. It is disheartening to have trusted a booking platform like Booking.com, only to be let down when faced with a problem. I strongly urge other travelers to be cautious when booking this particular hotel or relying solely on the information provided by Booking.com. It is evident that both the hotel and the platform need to improve their communication and customer service standards.
