The Dutch Tulip Hotel

Beds you could feel the the springs. Shower floor was dirty. Room was sparce. Washroom was very small. Restaraunt closed. Initially no one at reception and gate was closed for entry. When we found staff they were quite friendly and informative.

Verry clean and quayet hotel. Flowers everywhere. Friendly and welcoming staff..

Everything.

Beds were clean and comfy. 10 minute walk to centre of Mallow. Quiet at night for sleeping.

Communication difficult as staff didn't speak English. Noone at reception in the morning, had to go upstairs to kitchen. Must ask at reception for hairdryer. Did not have an iron to lend me!!! Bathroom dirty.

couldn't stay, ended up driving back to Dublin that night. Its also not a hotel, it is a hostel and a really really poor one at best

The hotel is close to the train station and is fairly close to the town.

Crossing the road on the way from the train station was a bit challenging because of so much traffic and no crosswalk.

Staff amazing and very kind

Hotel is obviously having or had an upgrade, rooms were nicely and cleanly decorated with good bathroom and shower. Bed was good but room lack some form of stand for suitcase.

Breakfast was pretty basic, no fruit juices, limited cereal choice, only a few apples and no proper coffee making machine. Ran out of marmalade after first morning. Could have done with tea, coffee, milk sachets in reception as staff didn't go in room at all over the 3 days to replenish same. Old outdoor bar area needs a good clear out with a couple of skips worth to the tip! Location means it is noisy with window open on road side from 5am onwards! Owner is making an effort but more attention to detail required in my opinion.

The rooms are very clean, neat and tidy. The rooms are very big and the beds are very comfortable.

They have the old fashion showers that is not suitable for women because it is stock on the wall and no shower cap was provided.. I think it will be nice to provide shower cap in all the toilets. Also handwash liquid was not provided. It is actually a New Hotel and they are currently working on the place.
