The Red Lyon Slinfold

Location was good in a nice village.

The back entrance stairs were shabby & dirty. The rooms were fine although one of them had no windows. This was uncomfortable on a very hot day/evening.

Room was dirty, several cobwebs and the carpet had numerous stains in the room and outside on the corridor..

All the staff were exceptional and extremely helpful, they couldn't do enough. The food was excellent as was the atmosphere

Our shower on Saturday morning was cold but this was sorted out when we mentioned it to the manager for Sunday morning. It could be a lot more powerful.

Pretty quiet village location

Facilities were poor and a tad pricey for a Sunday eve. No TV ( not a major issue but pub was shut and nothing in the room even a radio to listen to. ) One pot of UHT milk per stay. Furnishings and decor very dated .

Lovely family pub, excellent beer garden and quality pub meals too. Rooms were comfortable and well appointed. They also stored our bikes for us

The room was quite basic but in line with what we were expecting - it is a very, very old pub so we weren’t expecting all mod cons. It did have everything we needed in the room, it was clean, quiet and the bed was very comfy. The pub itself was very traditional, great atmosphere and we had a lovely evening meal. Staff were excellent.
