great rural location (you can hear the birds) yet still close to Portarlington and Portlaoise. Very nice rooms - very good communal areas.

Perhaps a sink in the communal area to allow to clean after using the mini kitchen area. and a hair dryer. but generally a lovely place

A fabulous find in the location, would be a great spot to relax and unwind.

Location

A very clean room with a double and a single no ensuite and great value for money. Showers are communal in the showroom room they were very good and we were provided with clean towels.

It was freezing cold, not one bit of heat in it. Didn’t even stay there waste of money.

We have stayed a number of times at the Barn Lodge when visiting family in Portlaoise. The Barn is quirky but in a good way. The rooms are spacious and clean. Comfortable beds. The prices are competitive, and the staff are helpful. I have no doubt we will stay here again.

It's not a dislike, but the rooms don't have a bathroom. Showers and bathrooms are only seconds from the bedroom.
