"Tranquil and peaceful!"

9.0

Accessing the accommodation was easy and hassle free our lovely host had messaged a few days beforehand with the door key access. The property was very well present and very clean with a lovely card awaiting us. It was peaceful and although our weather wasn't great it still was amazing! The host had left lots of information leaflets of where to go and local eating places and bars and included dog friendly. Def worth a visit and your in the middle to travel everywhere

"Lovely clean amazing place. Defo going back"

10.0

Ah, the cottage was everything I needed. Absolutely beautiful. I arrived late and Sorcha had left milk, coffee and basics. If you are a solo traveler like me you get the added company of her gorgeous dog. What a little funny boy. Ok yes i got treats but sometimes when you are alone having a dog even if it’s someone else’s. It’s that being alone but not alone. Thank you so much 😊

"Perfect and can’t wait to go back"

10.0

It’s very quaint, full of character and the decor is beautiful. It gave me some inspiration for my own house! It’s also very clean. It was extremely well equipped, literally everything you could think of- even down to plastic picnic cutlery. Excellent quality tea and coffee, biscuits etc and some drinks in the fridge! Our host couldn’t have been nicer, it was a very last minute booking for my partner’s birthday and she put up balloons and a banner without me asking.

Beware of the slippy bath!

"Perfect gem in Donegal…."

8.0

Absolutely beautiful, cosy and charming little haven. I was able to bring my dog which is why I chose the Old Boathouse. It’s rare to discover somewhere so beautiful decorated and luxurious that will allow pets. Usually you have to trade one for the other which I think is such a shame. As a solo traveler, being able to bring my dog is a big part of my independence and something other properties should have figured out. Sorcha, the host could not have been more delighted to welcome us both. The tiny harbour that the property is on dates from the 1800 and adds an amazing backdrop to the location.

Absolutely nothing.

Location Location Location What a beautiful location So so peaceful and quiet, but so close to the village, with everything you need. You go away to the west for spectacular scenery. The Old Boathouse is a total retreat after a brilliant beautiful day out and about. We loved our week and can't wait to come back.

Everything. Fantastic location. Just lovely. Sarah is a great host and her lovely rascal of a beautiful dog Uisce is an added pleasure ✌️ Don't worry about research, Sarah provides a comprehensive guide on Donegal and all you need is there. We had peace and calm for 2 weeks and it was divine being in such a beautiful place, away from the noise and pollution of Dublin. 🕉️

Could lose a locker and move bed a wee bit and put in a 2nd chair to watch TV. We moved table into the kitchen and had plenty of room in kitchen to move around and eat meals. These are personal preferences and did not affect our stay at all 😄

"Relaxing and picturesque"

9.0

We were able to bring our dog which was great. The front patio area was secure with a lockable gate. The area was very quiet and peaceful. It was relaxing. The apartment had all required amenities and great recommendations for places to eat by Sorcha.

It was a bit chilly at night as no central heating on in May but there were extra blankets and small heaters available.
