The Old Boathouse at Bunbeg Harbour

The Old Boathouse is full of character, with stylish, sea themed interiors and a relaxed cosy atmosphere. The bed is extremely comfortable too! It was also lovely to sit outside in our little enclosed ‘walled garden’ and look out over the harbour. My husband and I would thoroughly recommend this property and found our host Sorcha couldn’t have been more helpful 😁

Perfect location in the heart of beautiful Donegal. Sea, fresh air,flowers,beaches,freedom

Stayed here for three nights, 13th-16th June. Beautiful place. We went to get some peace and quiet and to relax and we couldn't have picked a better place. It was so quiet and peaceful. We loved it. We had our two little dogs with us and it was perfect for them too. The accommodation is lovely and very clean, equipped with everything we needed. The location was fantastic, best place in Bunbeg. Our hosts were really friendly and left us a few things in the fridge to start our stay. There were also flowers on the table when we arrived. We had a lovely stress free break and we were really fortunate with the weather too. Hope to go back soon.

Nothing we didn't like, but directions to the nearest supermarket would have been useful as we weren't sure where to go for essentials on arrival, but the locals are very helpful so we soon got our bearings.

A perfect spot - morning, noon and night. The boathouse itself is pristine, comfortable and charming. High praise for everything. Been missing the place ever since.

Nothing to dislike - I felt thoroughly at home and well-cared for. There are midges for an hour or two in the summer evenings but go up to the various pubs until they settle. Special mention to Bunbeg itself and Gweedore as a whole - from its beaches, people, shops to its islands and mountains.
