From the hosts to the location, the cosy cottage had everything you need and we will definitely stay again.

The Fairfield Lodge is a house on a property loaded with history. Chris, the host, was very kind to tell us many stories about the property and its historical owners. It definitely exceeded our expectations when it comes to charm of the place.

Could be that due to fact we are from South Europe, we have not been used to lower temperatures inside the house. There is fireplace in the living room, which is OK for the lower part of the house, but it is a bit cold upstairs where the bathroom and bedrooms are.

Lovely stay! The hosts went through a great effort of putting lots of toys out for our 1 & 3 year old children!

Enchanting cottage; nestled in a tranquil setting and offered a perfect blend of comfort, character and countryside charm , cosy fireplace , wildlife, a moat with moorhens and ducks, and a well equipped kitchen ... We met our friendly host who not just welcomed us into the cottage and gave us a lovely red velvet cake but into a spirit of hospitality that made our stay truly special. .

There is no central heating but the cosy fireplace and mobile heaters are sufficient to keep us all warm and cosy.

Absolutely gorgeous surroundings. Perfect base to visit West Midlands Safari Park, cadbury World, and Sea Aquarium in Birmingham. Amazing welcome and kindness from the hosts. They offered advice and supported our son, who has additional learning needs. We even had a tour of the main house, which was great 😊.

Een zeer mooie locatie! Rust, ruimte! Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig en compleet. De gastheer was erg vriendelijk en vertelde veel over het landgoed en het huis. Heel leerzaam ook. Het voelde alsof je bij oude vrienden op bezoek bent en of je elkaar al jaren kent! Erg gastvrij en bereid om met ons mee te denken voor een oplossing ivm een slaapprobleem. Wij waren voor de bruiloft van onze dochter en haar vriend in GB.

Nou ja. Viel niet tegen, maar wij vonden het licht van de grote lampen te veel. Te veel licht van de grote lampen in de kamer. Wij hebben 2 peertjes eruit gedraaid, zodat het knusser licht werd. Een extra sfeerlampje op een wat donker plek in de kamer zou gezelliger zijn en hoef je de grote lampen niet aan te doen.

Location was perfect

The house was great with very detailed decorations. There were board games, cards games, ball games, soft toys, TV with varied choices. The host was exceptional. Chris is a super super host. I can thank him enough. He responded promptly and paid attention to all the details. He even cooked my son a meal!!!!!!!
