AEGreat location next to river and short walk to town. Comfortable beds. Piping hot water. Easy check-in process.
I originally didn't want to write a negative public review (especially because all of the reviews below that aren't perfect seem to be met with abuse) so I messaged the owners privately however have not received any response. The 10 star reviews for this property seem to be for the penthouse which I'm sure is fabulous. Unfortunately the Deluxe King Room we booked was not and I think travellers looking to book this room need to be aware of the following: - Written Description doesn't match the room (says there is an in-room fireplace, there isn't one) - Photos don't match the room - Flickering ceiling lights - Noisy Automatic bathroom fan that stays on for 30 minutes (not great at night) - Curtain didn't cover the window - No sound insulation (could hear every sigh/cough/talking/walking from neighbouring & upstairs guests) It was a shame as for 120 pounds we expected more. It will be interesting to see if this review receives the same reaction as the other negative ones.
GBLoved that you could still see the old machinery of the mill through the glass in the wine cellar. Loved the space and the different levels. The quirky decor was awesome.
Nothing not to like.
GBSuch a picturesque building in amazing surroundings. Waking distance to Eyemouth restaurants, and harbour. Just loved spending time in the penthouse listening to jazz and drinking wine, then waking up to the birds singing.
There was no hot water at first, but this was quickly rectified by the owner.
GBI loved everything about the house. It had the wow factor as soon as we walked in. I loved the different floors we had access to and it is dog friendly. Our dog loves the sound and sights of pheasants so it was perfect. We both enjoy music and snooker and felt like millionaires in the huge games room. We will definitely return to this accommodation soon.
We were a bit unsure at first if we could go outside round the back but then we had a look at the sauna second day and loved the idea of it for next time. We were also unsure about the barbecue area as thought it might be just for pricate parties which we might use next time as well.
