Orchard retreat off grid shepherds huts in Dorset

The setting is beautiful. We felt completely at peace waking up to the gorgeous orchard every morning. Hearing the birds as we laid in bed was such a treat. Katherine and Dan were super welcoming, we enjoyed some delicious pizzas & cider on the Saturday night and the locals were great fun and very welcoming to us. The whole set up is brilliantly done, we felt completely on our own despite the barn and other huts being a little walk down the path. The huts are well designed, kitchen was handy, shower was good and the hot tub was dreamy. Everything we needed to make ourselves comfortable was available, and the bed was cosy and huge.

There is one window without a blind which would be handy to be able to cover, especially in June when the sun comes up around 4am. Otherwise everything was gorgeous and we would have loved to extend our break but they were understandably fully booked. We will definitely be back.

The only grumble was the weather

The orchard is beautiful and serene. The hut aesthetics and facilities were top - the bed was so comfy. The location provides ample opportunities for adventure and being immersed in nature. Drinking local cider whilst stargazing from the hot tub was a fave!
