Big Red Lodge Cottage

It was very cute. It looked like a movie set. It was very private. The host was very nice.

The bath was down steps, and across the patio. It was very tiny, but WORST, had no permanent lighting. All the lighting was furnished by battery operated motion detector fixtures. There were big spiders in the dark. There was no bath sink, you had to use the "kitchenette" sink for tooth brushing, etc. It did not seem sanitary. It was very dark in the toilet and shower.

Wonderful place in a great area close to sunset cliff and nice beaches. Very nice host with great tips for things to see. Cozy and cool outside area with a great fireplace. Very recommended 👍

The owner is the sweetest! Always checked in to see if me and my friend were doing good during our stay. Such a genuine woman and even gave us a list of recommendations to visit around the area! If were ever back in San Diego this lodge is such a vacation away from home!

This cottage was so cozy and cute! The property is absolutely beautiful with the cottage in the back. The plants, decor, fire pit, lounge area, bedroom, bathroom & kitchenette all came together beautifully. My husband & I didn't have a chance to relax much since we were in town for a quick visit. The hospitality was there in full! Our host was so friendly & polite and truly cared that guests were comfortable & had what they needed. We would totally stay here again and plan on returning on our next san diego trip.

There was nothing we didn't like. My husband is tall (6'2") and thought the bathroom was made for me (5'2"). He said it was manageable but small. This is not a complaint but more of a heads up. If you love to live free & not needing useless luxuries in life, this is definitely the place!

Wonderful, would absolutely stay here again. Super friendly host, comfortable spot, easy to get to. Easily checks all the boxes for me!

Our little private bungalow was so wonderful! It was set on beautiful grounds and landscaping with a comfortable patio surrounding it! Angela was an amazing hostess with great ideas and a great personality! She was so fun! The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in! We Loved the creative, functional and thoughtful lay out of the kitchen area and bathroom with everything you could possibly need! Really a great getaway! So private but close to everything❤️❤️❤️
