Duke’s Cottage

It was all lively and clean and we came in to some tea coffee and biscuits and a basket full of logs. The beds are so comfortable and we slept well. The hosts went over and above for us so would highly recommend.

The cottage was quirky and full of character, but also extremely homely and comfortable. We loved the bright kitchen with skylights and brick wall and also loved the cosy little nook-style area, with sofa and reading material to retreat to after meals. The hosts obviously take pride in their property and took the time to make sure everything was thought of and covered - cleaning products in the kitchen, toiletries incl. sanitary towels in the bathroom, reading material and plenty of local information around, tea, coffee and biscuits in the kitchen. We especially loved the local art on the walls and the Portland Bill kitchen clock. Loved this place and will definitely recommend! 💙

The location of the property made parking very difficult and we often had to walk quite a way up to the cottage. But, other than that, we loved everything else which far outweighs the parking inconvenience.

The house was super clean, really well equiped, and the hosts were very accommodating. It has a lovely little garden and is located within easy access to everything we needed. Good local information was left for us to be able to explore the island and its history.

I'll be splitting hairs to find problems; maybe a private parking space, but would be pushed to think of anything else.
