Binario 8 Catania Stazione Centrale

Of all the places we stayed in Italy during our 9 days there, this was by far the most homely and memorable; situated in an excellent spot right near the train station and walking distance to the city centre. Peppe is a wonderful and gracious host. His communication was excellent. Thank you Peppe for a fantastic stay in Sicily!

Our Host was very kind and friendly. He brought fantastic breakfast every morning, he helped us with information, with the luggage the last day. The apartment is very big and in very good location to the Centrale Train Station! Thank you, Peppe!

Location was great. I do not complain, but the breakfast wasn't enough , especially for me, for my wife and son was good.

Location!! Four minute walk to Stazione Central with adjacent large bus terminal. Very large apartment with an entrance room, two bedrooms each with its own balcony. Useful kitchen with a large refrigerator, induction range top with pots, dishes, and most importantly supplied with coffee for espresso or tea. Very large TV (perhaps 50 inches), and even a working scale in the bathroom to help me avoid too much good food. Excellent Ristorante Moschettieri around the corner. And host Giuseppe was very gracious and always helpful with fresh, delicious brioche and oranges every morning. Live like a Catanian.

Old structure with 12 ft high ceilings so some will not like the dated look and layout that required the main bedroom to exit through the smaller bedroom. Bathroom was small yet modern. Uneven floor areas. Road noise for which Giuseppe provides ear plugs.

It is an excellent location, with a very short distance to a bus, metro, and train stations, and also near to historical places in Catania. Peppe is an outstanding host who offers any help if you need it, and of course, I will remember the wonderful croissants that Peppe provides every morning. I recommend this place to all travelers who want Catania to be the base for visiting all surrounding places in Sicilia. The apartment is spacious with all the basic appliances in the kitchen, a big TV, and big excellent beds.

Some of the visitors wrote in negative sentences about noise during the night, but this is normal for such locations near central stations.

The perfect location if you must travel (near bus and train station).

Everything. It is an old but refurbished apartment, very spacious, one king bed, a queen bed and a single bed, ideal if you want privacy. The kitchen is well equipped, near both trains and bus stations and the stop for the bus that takes you to/from the airport (Alibus). Didn't find it noisy, some people were screaming here and there in the street at night, but normal i guess for near the stations area. Host was efficient and communicated everything, and brought the breakfast the following morning. Definitely to return if I need to stay in Catania again.

The boiler had not enough water for 2 people to shower, but I communicated that to the host and he said he would take care of it.
