Madulkelle Tea and Eco Lodge

The most unique experience we had in Sri Lanka. The tent-like rooms were amazing, it was like camping but with all the comfort and needs covered. The view from the tent´s terrace was breathtaking. Absolute peace and tranquility. The infinity pool was very enjoyable and the main lounge-restaurant area was very cozy. The food was absolutely delicious, almost everything was organic, even bread and pastries were freshly baked every morning. Staying amongst tea fields was so beautiful and unique as well. The staff is lovely, incredibly caring and accommodating. The owner of the hotel is usually there and bothers to have a conversation to make sure you are enjoying your stay. You can arrange different types of activities and tours with them. Staying here was one of the best parts of our trip to Sri Lanka. A total must!

During the night the wind sounds quite strong inside the tent. The first night it´s a bit unsettling, once you know that it is normal it becomes better.

L'hôtel est situé sur les hauteurs. La vue est tout simplement magnifique. Notre villa était spacieuse . Le petit déjeuner est excellent. Magnifique piscine .

La literie de la chambre du bas mériterait une meilleure qualité vu le standing de l'hôtel. La chambre du dessus était top en revanche. Rapport qualité prix élevé par rapport au confort de la chambre .

The view and scenery was stunning. The pool area. The cookery experience was excellent. The honeymoon suite was lovely. Meals very good and service - breakfast ok.

Ein magischer Ort inmitten einer gepflegten Teeplantage

Der Aufenthalt war unglaublich. Hier wurde ein wahres Paradies geschaffen mit einem Händchen zum Detail. Man fühlt sich wie zurück versetzt in die Kolonialzeit mit Übernachtung in einem luxuriösen Zelt.

Un luogo speciale. Letteralmente fuori dl mondo. In una posizione dominante su una collina a circa 1000m sopra il livello del mare, dentro ad una piantagione di tè, le logge sono costruite intorno ad una casa colonica britannica dei primi dell'800. Le logge, vere e proprie unità/appartamenti/case indipendenti, sono immerse nella natura con una vista panoramica spettacolare. Una piscina grande ben costruita in mezzo al verde, nel silenzio. Tante scimmie e uccelli rari, alberi e piante belle. Un luogo ben curato. Ristorante buono, con una buona cantina. Personale gentile. Luogo adattabile ad ogni esigenza: famiglie, coppie, piccoli gruppi o singoli alla cerca l'alta qualità di un luogo curato immerso nella natura senza eccessi. Credo sia però un luogo particolarmente adatto per viaggiatori singoli o coppie.

Non c'era nulla che non ci sia piaciuto. Devi però sapere che per arrivarci devi fare una strada molto lunga e spesso molto stretta. Conviene prendere sempre una guida/driver. Potendo, il modo ideale sarebbe arrivarci in elicottero (c'è un helipad/elisuperficie). Il solo volo sopra quella aerea sarebbe una esperienza a sé...

Wat een prachtige en unieke accommodatie. Het hotel ligt hoog in de bergen omgeven door de theeplantages ver weg van het massatoerisme. Zalig gewoon. Wij boekten een glampingtent en het zicht vanuit je kamer is geweldig. Ook de activiteiten die je via het hotel kan boeken zijn heel erg leuk. Wij deden de mini trekking, een bezoek aan een theefabriek en volgden een kookles. Allemaal aanraders. Ik mag niet vergeten het geweldige persooneel te vernoemen, ze zijn zo vriendelijk en behulpzaam, niks is nooit teveel gevraagd en helpen je een onvergetelijke tijd te bezorgen!
