J’ai tout apprécié.

Hans and Michaela were fantastic hosts. Warm and unobtrusive. The accommodation met all our needs. Breakfast was superb and hit the spot. The location is perfect, especially for travellers who want to start their journey north or journey south while avoiding the hustle and bustle of Wellington. The chalet is set in a large and leafy garden, teeming with bird life. It is away from traffic noise.

There was no aspect that we did not enjoy.

We chose not to order breakfast. Choice to make our own tea n toast or eat out for breakfast.

The location was amazing considering we were right in the centre of Waikanae. I had never experienced the closeness of the host before but there was no issue and was handy if we required help of any sort.

The only thing I would say as a slight negative was for the price per night, and we could not get the TV going and any movies were at a cost.

The Hide Away was just what we needed for a couple of days of rest away from the hustle and bustle. A home away from home. Hans and Michaela were amazing hosts and very accommodating. Everything was in close proximity (walking distance) to restaurants, cafes, transport and Supermarkets. Bed was very comfortable and the Hide Away was well equipped. We will definitely return.
